He was sleepy! Vacation is rough.

It's hard letting everyone else on your staff run the country for you. After all, according to him, the biggest moment of his presidency was catching a 7.5 lb perch.

I was going to clean. Yeah, not happening. Maybe tomorrow, maybe not. I'm going to visit friends tomorrow. Got her kids floam. It's not as messy as the fingerpaints I got last time (I'm not testing the friendship, really!)

Someone is making barbeque or something. Sweet vingegar smell that occasionally is overwhelming. Not bad, it's just steamy vinegar makes my lungs rebel a bit. Almost makes me want to make orange chicken, but I have this huge vat of salad...

Only thing I've ever consumed from IKEA is ginger thins. Never ate in their restaurant.

Ikea ginger thins are good. But the meatballs are totally yum! with lingonberry sauce. best meal ever for $3.99. At least that's what I think.

What's floam?

We've been productive! Washed bed linens and remade bed, washed bathroom towels, done the dishes, took out the trash, cleaned the catbox, cleaned out the fridge, and made a grocery list. Now I'm going to shower so that we can go grocery shopping and pick up some storage containers since we plan to take down the Christmas stuff today.

The Virtual Toilet Paper Museum

My favorite is the Prince toilet paper of 1915. The packaging is even purple! Also, the 1880s "medicated" TP is pretty cool too.

So frequent were the calls received by us for a Medicated Toilet Paper, that we instituted a series of experiments to determine if such an article could be produced, and if so, whether we could discover a rapid process and machinery to manufacture it at a cost that would place it within the reach of the general public. The first we have demonstrated as practicable. The second, also, so far as the process and manufacturing by machinery, and we believe that it will be conceded that the value of the product, considered the price, is remarkably low. There will be no question as to its being medicated; its appearance indicates it, and as a matter of fact fully twenty percent of its weight is due to the remedial agents it contains. Only those indorsed [sic] by the medical profession are used, and of these the most valued. The incorporation of so large a percentage with the paper necessarily increases its cost, but our process is so rapid, and the machinery so efficient, that there is little additional expense. We offer this paper at a very slight advance over the price of our plain paper, making due allowance for the actual cost of the remedial agents.

You know, hearing they are using planes to look for stranded travellers on the interstates in CO and nearby is really creepy. I expect my cousin who was visiting Boulder and housesitting for another cousin was wise enough to stay put. At least he's in school, on winter break, so he still has flexibility.
