"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

You'll have to report on your gimlet reslts, bon.

And Hec and I once got kicked out of the Campbell Apt. because he was wearing sneakers. I tried to explain that he was a hipster and they were special sneakers but no go.

Honestly, if any place should understand the importance of hipster sneakers it should be NYC. C'mon - the Ramones!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In unrelated news, I fucking love the internet. I love how I can identify any "hey, it's that guy!" in minutes. (Currently: a pathologist on an L&O:SVU I taped yesterday who was on a few episodes of Oz.)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Honestly, if any place should understand the importance of hipster sneakers it should be NYC. C'mon - the Ramones!

Any number of whom where probably interned there when it was the jail for Grand Central Terminal. Sheesh!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So far I have re-subscribed to my podcasts

Which ones?

I only listen to two: TAL and the Film Noir one.

Speaking of TAL, they had one recently where Ira was talking about his wife punching him in the arm and demanding that he pay attention to her that had me snickering.

The Campbell Apartment and The Ramones are two parts of NYC that have never met, nor want to.

It's crazy that I am FREEZING cold when it is 48 degrees outside, right? I was wearing a suit jacket and normal daily winter coat.

Ann, that's a ferret.

It's official -- federal government (at least the Executive Branch) will be closed Tuesday to mourn President Ford.

On the bright side, four day weekend. Four and a half, if we close early enough tomorrow. And we might -- we usually close early on New Year's Eve or the equivalent work day.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Excellent 30 Rock on tonight, for people who don't normally watch.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Saddam to be hanged by Sunday

Do you suppose any right-wingers will accuse us anti-capital punishment types of wanting to "coddle" Saddam by not hanging him by his neck until he's dead?
