I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Max is NINE?!?!?!?!

I remember when he was private time behind a Cracker Barrel.

Well, maybe I remember when he was two and his brother was private time...

Dude. When did all that happen?

I think I gained 48657137 pounds. Send help.

Sorry, all I have is a lot of ham. And cranberry relish because I forgot (after all that drama to find cranberries) to get it out of the fridge. Which I remembered just now.

Sheesh.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Am I the only one who didn't know Tommyrot had sons?

I don't want to go to work tomorrow.

Merry Holidays, Buffistas!

Traveling with a toddler means that what used to be a one-day trip to Alabama now takes three. We spent last night a my brother-in-law's new place, which is in an utterly ordinary-looking suburban neighborhood that happens to be 20 minutes down a windy, narrow road, past a bunch of goat farms that obviously used to be the end of the road, off an exit 20 minutes north of Birmingham. It's suburbia meets the middle of nowhere. Tonight and tomorrow, we're in Tuscaloosa, then we head to my parents' place, also in the middle of nowhere about an hour west of Dothan and 45 minutes north of Panama City Beach.

I think my Christmas wish for next year is that all our relatives move into the same house about 3 hours away from Austin, but never visit.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

His sister and her partner have two children that he fathered, is the story I recall....

Yes, he's the donor for his sister and her partner. (The partner getting the spunk, of course.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh yeah. For a while I was Sperm Boy. Now I'm Bio-Pop.

The partner getting the spunk, of course.

Yes, occasionally I've had to point out that part for the confused....
