And now my boy's in love. All hearts and flowers. But, doesn't it freak you out that she used to change your diapers? I mean, when you think about it, the first woman you boned is the closest thing you've ever had to a mother. Doing your mom and trying to kill your dad. Hm. There should be a play.

Survivor: It was nice to see a final three where I really liked all of them and felt they deserved to be there. I was very disappointed by Becky's lack of fire skills though--I don't think she had a chance, but that really sealed her fate.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Krumholtz isn't in #3. I think Mr. Universe wanted too much money to go back to elfing.

In the context of the various RotK posts, this took my mind to a very odd place.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Who wouldn't like that? Plus, there's the added bonus of making Trudy very jealous!

I'm just happy to see she's being raised right.

I'm not jealous.

I'm not all that jealous.

I'm a little bit jealous.

But just a little.

So, by my calculations, from Thursday to today I spent 23 hours at work.

As god as my witness, I'm leaving before lunch tomorrow.

Art Crawl!!!

Missing visions with Arwen means missing out on Hot!Dead! King Elessar and Hot!Future!King Elessar with son. Also, I love the graceful Elven smithies - particularly when compared to the orc smithies from FotR.

I also love that Eowyn takes out more Oliphaunts than Legolas. And that, in the EE, I think King Theoden recognizes her when she is fighting on foot after her horse gets trampled and before the Witch-King attacks him.

I switched over from what was on tv to my EE around the time that Denethor was getting ready to burn Faramir. So, I'm not sure that the battle between Eowyn and various orcs that Theoden witnesses is in the regular version.

I'm catching up on my TV viewing. I'm up to this week's Ghost Whisperer and I can't help but wonder why Melinda is being attacked by the Giant Tiki from The Brady Bunch Hawaii episode?

Who knew the Giant Tiki was an outraged Audrey Hepburn fan?

Matt, I think that probably makes more sense than whatever the official reason was.

It's not. It's only in the EE that you see Eowyn kicking the ass of that Orc general and really looking like a competent warrior in her own right. It shall always remain my great disappointment, however, that Eowyn didn't stand up stronger against the Witch King. She didn't cower nearly as much in the books.
