Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

What is even happening?

Sparky, you're the cool junior we let sit with us at lunch, and invite to the parties. And when I can't babysit for Ailleann, I give her mother your number. (P.S. Sometimes, she bites.)

You are not misremembering - lisah and I knew (of) the same girl who transferred from her HS to mine back in the day. Delaware is really just a big small town, really.

Okay, so lisah puts us back up to a pentad, and then megan walker bumps us back to sextet, right?

I just did an LJ poll on this. Why? Because I don't feel like doing my laundry.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I graduated high school in 1985. Enuf said....

....Oh, we're a quartet!

Huh. A year after me (class of 1984 and all that).

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

In 1985 I was six.

So was I. And yet I still know all the lyrics to Mr. Mister songs.

I don't play well with others or color within the lines.

In kindergarten, I threw a punch at a kid who broke the tips off my crayons. Loser. It's still the first thing I think of when I hear his name.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I graduated in 1986, but I thought that Suzi and I were actually born in the same year ('68)... so can I join the club?

Another '68-86'er here, though I try not to spend much time thinking about the fact that Suzi and I are only a couple of months apart; otherwise, I remember that her youngest child will be graduating high school and giving her her life back at about the same time my oldest (and at this point likely only) child will be entering the second grade, and then I go straight into ::never stops crying:: mode.

Which reminds me -

::never stops crying::

I'm curious as to how they'll know they sent it back in time, instead of just destroying it.

The photons aren't going back in time. A message between them is. I think. What I'm getting is, if it works, photon A will show an effect from something that happens to photon B before the thing happens to photon B.

Instead of cause and effect, the effect comes before the cause. The simplest, least paradoxical explanation for that, he says, is that some kind of signal or communication occurs between the two photons in reverse time.

Sparky, you're the cool junior we let sit with us at lunch, and invite to the parties.

Totally.

And yet I still know all the lyrics to Mr. Mister songs.

Somebody has to.

Oh, JZ, you can sit with the cool kids. You were discovering yourself, and look what you found!

Think of it this way: You're so lucky Suzi had K-bug when she was young, because she supplied you with the good example Matilda will follow.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

You were discovering yourself, and look what you found!

Absolutely. I'm just going through a lot of that myself now. I feel so naive about so much.

Word of advice to you whippersnappers. Don't get married at 19.
