If every vampire who said he was at the crucifixion was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock.

BOOK: "River..? Please, why don't you come on out..." RIVER: "No. Can't. Too much hair." - 'Jaynestown'

Oops. I toasted the Bitches even though I was in Natter. My bad.

Okay, I'm feeling really outnumbered by the sound guys.

Sorry, didn't mean to be all outnumbering and stuff. We're geeky but friendly, really!

But, speaking of that... Who else out there is a sound guy/girl? Beside me and OmnisAudis and NoiseDesign?

My stolen Sports Illustrated just attacked my keyboard and made me double post.

Damned ferocious sports magazines.

My cat likes to try the keyboard attack thing, but rarely gets close enough to manage a double post... He usually gets shooed away.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

As far as I know it's just the three of you, but I believe I'm the only lighting designer here.

Good luck with the mock toddy, ita.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Well, I've learnt my lesson. I will not steal SI again. But it was just lying there on the recumbent bike next to mine...

Oh, I had a Studio 60 thought: If they needed to find a way to make snow in LA, they could have just come by and robbed my gym. I've never been up close and personal with any sorts of fake snow before, and I'm undercharmed.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Studio - Oh, yeah. It was all sorts of contrived.

I try to ignore the man behind the curtain for lots of things on the show. I like it much better this way.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Studio - heck, we got snow machines that use soapy water. Big soap flakes that all but instantly dissolve when they land. POP! No mess, and a lot easier to make. Tho, they are kinda loud (ya, sound guys think of those things).

And speaking of contrived, watched Criminal Minds. Shiny, but the MoW-ness was palpable. Still it was a very pretty side of the shiny so I will be content.

I don't really expect total brilliance from the show, I accept the flaws just so I can have the bits I enjoy.

Okay, enough icon-making. Faux toddy and some Lost Room before sleep.

information libertarian

This just in from my friend who teaches public school in NYC:

I thought you should know that a student in the eighth grade is using this pen. He found it outside. He thinks it's cool. I don't have the heart, or the words to explain this to him. I might be breaking the law if I did, anyway. >[link]
