I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Well, we are attempting to get on EST time. The goal was no nap an to bed by 8-9. both of us fell asleep in the chair listening to music at 5, so the nap happened, thus we are just going to bed at 10. me too, g'night.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Can I say how much I am enjoying The Lost Room? It's the anti-Lost. What Lost does, is they pose problems without solving them, and without even knowing what the solution is going to be. The Lost Room is really good at solving problems in unexpected ways, not wasting time drawing out scenes you know are coming, and in general just being endlessly creative. For anyone who has played an RPG (not me), you should watch, since it's clearly written by someone who has DM'ed. It's hardly perfect, but there is some really, really talented screenwriting in this thing, as far as plotting goes.

Because books.

bon, I was thinking the same thing -- this is some of the most enjoyable TV I've watched all year. High stakes for Joe, fascinating possibilities, a good mystery, good guys and bad guys (most of whom could go either way) ... really good. And Peter Krauss as the lead doesn't hurt a bit.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Ack. I only scored 54% the first time through the geography quiz, and I ran out of time before I could answer the last question.

Huh. I forgot about Lost Room, but a friend at work said she got bored during the pilot.

But her judgment is not always reliable. I'll try to check it out.

An older x-mas themed one (that I love)
Oh, that needs to be a card!

Because books.

The Lost Room is a mini-series, Strega -- I think it's only the two parts. Maybe it's more? Now I have to check.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

One way to break a choke (if both hands are used) is to weave your right arm over the left arm, grasp your hands together and do a circular motion, follow up with an elbow to the face.

This needs a demo. Not that the rest of it doesn't, but especially this one.

The end of The Unit was startling.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am liking Lost Room a lot too. The protagonist isn't...oh, I don't know how to put it...sexy as such. He's a guy, with a problem posed, and sense and determination. There's a mystery, there are people who know more/different things than he does, and I don't for a moment feel teased or strung along, even at a cliffhanger moment.

I am curious about the mythology for the whole thing, but aside from the need for the big picture I'm enjoying the problemsolving that's going on.

More than pleasantly surprised by the Sci Fi Channel.

Had a migraine bad enough to make me leave krav ten minutes into class. Attempting to pick up a couple groceries was a gross overstatement of my resources.

I'm beyond tired of this.

Because books.

Okay, The Lost Room is three parts. I should have figured -- I was wondering how they'd wrap it up tonight with only a half hour to go.

The Unit surprises me.

I'm looking forward to new Unit. It's hooked me, and is still impressing me for the same reasons it's impressing you, sarameg. All the more surprising coming from Mamet.

Also, I've said it before, but I'll say it again -- Jonas Blane is the anti-Jack Bauer. Jack's a yeller and a screamer, always trying to bludgeon any given situation by screaming louder and louder.

I don't think we've ever heard Jonas raise his voice.

Can I say how much I am enjoying The Lost Room? [snip] For anyone who has played an RPG (not me), you should watch, since it's clearly written by someone who has DM'ed.

Okay, I was already a little interested because of Peter Krause, but bon just sold me. When does it run?
