When I was little, the TV stations always used to play animated versions of the Little Mermaid (NOT the Disney verison) and Oscar Wilde's The Happy Prince back to backat Xmas. Oh what a fun night that was.
Dagnabbit -- after several days of ignoring them, my cat just discovered the "toys" on the Christmas tree. We'll see if I can keep everything on there and away from his reach.
Am home now. The most exciting part of my journey home was that a man barked at me. We were walking towards each other on the sidewalk - he even changed his path to be closer to me - then he said, "Arf! Arf! Arf" in a somewhat high-pitched and very loud voice. Kinda' startled me. As I was walking away I heard him barking at someone else, which made me feel better that he handn't just singled me out.

What's funny is the picture of Homer Simpson on the label.
"These stockings," he grriiiinched, "are the first things to go!"
I love the animated Grinch!! Just waiting for Cindy Lou Who to show up...
"Santy Clause, why? Why are you taking our Christmas tree, why?"
So, does the Grinch lie to her to prevent her from sounding the alarm, or to avoid hurting her feelings? (I don't remember.)
To avoid getting caught--he sent her to bed "with her cup, then he went to the flue, and stuffed the tree up!"
