Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

Yay for Msbelle and Mac!

The big question for today is do I work on a story and go see the new Bond movie, or make a fruitcake?

M&J is really 2 stops from Rock Center - better to subway it.

Pizza was Papa Johns, not New York local place. (pronounces it Peentza). First Pizza.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I'm trying, and failing, to wrap my mind around wht it would be like to have so many huge new experiences, and if you'd really think of them as that.... planes, elevators, escalators, MAGIC PIZZA that arrives AT YOUR DOOR when you just click on the weird flat thing.

Compassionately intolerant

Oooh. Elevators!

I spent some time helping a friend who advocated for Central American refugees around Brownsville TX long ago. Despite passable Spanish, I could not explain why I was asking a woman straight off the bus, to get into a tiny room...and then how the room could magically end up somewhere else. It was a humbling experience to see her non-comprehension. But once I explained how much easier it was than using the stairs (by pointing out the window to indicate how much higher we were, and then showing her the stairwell) she was right on board.

May mac's experiences with new machines be nuthin' but fun.
