Oh, I have a message for msbelle that may be of use to other parents as well. In a conversation that randomly turned to those books with different scenes and the names of everything, a friend of mine charged me with teaching mac that calling it a "cement mixer" is wrong, that there is no such thing as a cement mixer, and it should properly be known as a "concrete mixer."
FYI.
YAAAAAAAAAAY msbelle'n'Mac!
I dunno if it's a faux pas to ask in Press, but does anyone have a media bistro account?
I was gonna offer up DH, but it looks like Google came through first. Your editor rocks!

Oh, Hebrew got it right then, because that's how we call it (um, with the Hebrew words, of course). It's amazing how kids (of all ages. Um, me included) are fascinated by these trucks.
Nilly, yes. I only know a few key words in Amharic (toilet, for instance).
He knows yummy goes with food. I use hand symbols for going to bed.
English word's he knows: shoes, yummy, hello, sleep, airplane, mom, yes, no, thank you, water, stop, wait.
That's a pretty good start, msbelle.

Yeah, thinking about it, I don't know why we keep calling it a cement mixer, since cement is one thing, part of what makes up concrete.
In other news, I just stumbled on the non-annoying version of Inside The Actors Studio: Movies 101, on AMC.
Aww, congratulations Msbelle and Mac!

Oh, and about the vegan using cows to plough--if you're the sort of vegan that thinks honey and yeast are crossing a line, labour seems a bit much to ask of the creatures out there.
