Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

when mac grabbed something off the shelf and said "YES!" and then I said "No", there was no whining or begging.

So effing cute.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

language thing is ok for now, but I think he will start getting frustrated pretty soon. I am trying to just focus on a word or two at a time.

and he woke up with a smile in his new bed and greated mom with kisses.

Awwwww. So sweet! I'm so happy for you both, msbelle.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

mac and I are home. a little worse for the wear (I was sick for 4 days and then there were fleas or bedbugs or both), but HOME. and he woke up with a smile in his new bed and greated mom with kisses.

Sweetness of life itself!

That is so fucking great. I need to fly to New York and teach him how to play baseball immediately.

msbelle, you're focusing on mac learning English, right, not on Amharic (sp?) for you?

I think he got bored at times, but he LOVES airplanes, or as he says air-o-plane, so he really loved it.

plus all the buttons on the controller for the tv set in the seat back - that was LOTS of fun for him.

I bet that the frustration blooms into an unstoppable eagerness to learn. He's still a wee sponge and I bet there's a million things he wants to tell you and ask you.

Oh, I have a message for msbelle that may be of use to other parents as well. In a conversation that randomly turned to those books with different scenes and the names of everything, a friend of mine charged me with teaching mac that calling it a "cement mixer" is wrong, that there is no such thing as a cement mixer, and it should properly be known as a "concrete mixer."

FYI.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

YAAAAAAAAAAY msbelle'n'Mac!

I dunno if it's a faux pas to ask in Press, but does anyone have a media bistro account?

I was gonna offer up DH, but it looks like Google came through first. Your editor rocks!
