Well, crap on CSI. Sure enough. Stupid Baltimore Sun. At least they'll be reruns.

Liese, someday! I still think that if you ever pass through LC, I should put you in touch with my mom. I think you'd have neat conversations.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, that'd be great! You never know, we travel a lot.

Exactly!

I'm the only one here, right?

So, microwaving an old credit card doesn't do any damage cosmetically. Does stink (outgassing?) Anyway, I had to chop it up. Consider this a PSA.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I had the same problem with human remains.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Once I made microwave popcorn. This was many many years ago, before microwave popcorn existed. I just put some regular popcorn in a plastic bowl and covered it with plastic wrap. It took a long time for it to pop, but eventually, about 2/3rds of the kernels popped. But the popcorn tasted very strange. When I got to the bottom of the bowl, I saw that the plastic was all melted... with the unpopped kernels embedded in the melted plastic.

The caroling truck is much loved, but a leeetle crazy.

sara, I have two more weeks. Next week I'm working 4 days and going to NY on Thursday. The week after will be insane-o week. But I haven't worked a full week in almost 2 months. Life has been crazy.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The idiocy of this crop of Survivors is just infuriating. It's almost too late now, but Sundra and Becky need to get together with Ozzie and vote Yul out. Otherwise, he will win, and none of the girls seem to realize that his winning means they lose. All they need to do is vote for Yul once at Tribal, and his permanent immunity vanishes. They could declaw Yul and vote out Adam in one night if they were smart about it.

It frustrates me that we are down to the final six, and only one person is still actually playing the fucking game. Ozzie's clearly been waiting for his moment to be top dog, and he may start playing again in the next ep, but Adam's strategy so far has been "make out with Candace and Parvati a lot," and none of the girls appear to be thinking at all! What is wrong with these people? The way the game is going right now, they may as well just give Yul the money and let everyone go home early.

Yeah, I recommend against microwave experiments, normally. But I was bored.

Kat, hope it passes quickly. And if you see you-know-who-and-co (who gets home with son on sunday!!!!) give a restrained and appropriate hug for me. In your honor, I had spaghetti for dinner. OK, less in your honor, more I need to go shopping.

You know, microwave ovens need moisture (water) of some sort to absorb the radiation. If it's not there, the microwave could be damaged. So if you're gonna do microwave experiments, you should also place a glass of water inside to absorb the microwaves in case your experiment does not.
