ita, I thought you'd get a kick out of some pictures. It's my old boss taking down an opponent during what's called the Madtown Throwdown. Cycle though to the 6th thru 8th pictures, he's the scrawny dude in the cammo shorts.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Those MMA guys are crazy, Sail. Good on your old boss!

Heh. He fights for a living, kinda. He's in charge of a combatives training program for the Army. It always surprises me when I think of what he does, because he's just not that physically imposing. But I guess most of it is technique and skill, not muscles and physique.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

How to eat fewer pesticides

The twelve worst (worst on top):

  • peaches
  • apples
  • sweet bell peppers
  • celery
  • nectarines
  • strawberries
  • cherries
  • pears
  • grapes (imported)
  • spinach
  • lettuce
  • potatoes

Also lists the twelve "cleanest." Or, you know, buy organic.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all.

I've had this rat bastard of a recurring headache all day. Tylenol seems to have no effect. Bleah...

Compassionately intolerant

I'd love to see the Sim version of my Basselmation!

Johanna was just telling me that it is a bad idea to make Sim versions of your own pets. Since they eventually die.

Ah. An unexpected...and unacceptable outcome. Great! I can stay video-game free a bit longer. I once tried that screensaver, game thingie where you adopt a pet and it runs around on your desktop. The dog one was cute, but the barking bugged me. So I tried the cat one, until my super-cute, fuzzy kitty pounced on a mouse running across the screen and killed it. A little to verita for me.

Now tagless for your comfort.

My VHS is dead. Owen fed the machine some cookie cutters and played build-a-fort with the tapes (possibly pulling some tape out). So I gave up on them and gave them all away.

Cindy, they make protective covers for DVD's.

The cute, very young girl who cut my hair tonight, when I mentioned Buffy, said, "My mom used to make me watch that show with her all the time." I told her she needed to call her mother tonight--and tell her that she is smart AND cool.

I feel so fucking old.

I feel so fucking old.

Heh. Tonight I am manifesting anxiety in my back. When did this start happening? I was Ms. Stress-Immune through college so I'm blaming age. OK, I probably had an ulcer in high school, but I grew out of it. This is just stupid age. I'm so turning into my mom. After a wired day, I need to nap for 15-20 minutes or I'm kind of insane.

Thank god I don't have a teenager.

"My mom used to make me watch that show with her all the time."

Just wait until it's your daughter who makes you watch a show. Now that is feeling old.
