Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Art Crawl!!!

TAR: I know! I so wanted to be able for an all female team to finally win but I really disliked both the all female teams left. Tragic.

It was 11 when I was waiting for the bus. (Luckily a friendly co-worker saw me and gave me a lift.)

I was very worried about getting to the bus stop because on Saturday the sidewalk where the bus stop is was not clear and nor was it clear from there to - you know - I have no way of expressing how far it wasn't clear. Basically, from my corner there is a house, an apartment building, a car dealership, an empty lot, the railroad tracks and then Walgreens. The bus stop is by Walgreens. On saturday the sidewalke was not cleared from Walgreens through the car dealership. Today it had been cleared up to the empty log and then from the railroad tracks through to the corner (i.e., Walgreens). Much more do-able even with a bum knee.

(And by clear I mean a range from completely clean to a narrow path shoveled out that still has a base of ice and snow.)

sarameg, I'm sory about using your bacon ones when I had a tin of sushi ones all along.

No need for apologies! It'll just be an extra special weird for the brother (and nephew!) The bacon ones come with a tiny plastic pig. Do the sushi ones come with a fish? This is obviously something I really need to know.

I have bad cat packing tape. Or maybe it's naughty cat. I don't recall.

When I left this morning, apparently it was 11 and felt like 1, and I call that cold, damn it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Today I actually had to go to my closet to get a scarf....

Also, I can't find my gloves. I should get some soon.

My hands are freezing. I HATE WINTER.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's fuh-reezing in my office. I just noticed one of the auditors has her gloves on.

I may need to buy a hat. My ears were hating me by the time my bus arrived this morning.

Oh, it feels like 4F now! We might hit double digits in time for lunch.

I normally welcome the coming of winter with open arms, but then again I normally have hot water. This is NOT the way I want to start a Monday morning: half-clean with blue toes.

Coding and Sleeping

It's 23 (-5 for unamericans) here. I'm getting tired of my car doors freezing shut.

There are still rumors floating about that Cheney might resign...

I'd be surprised, but then Bush did express confidence in Cheney at the same time he did about Rumsfeld so who knows...

half-clean with blue toes.

That could be a song...

Baby, I've got the half-clean, blue toe blues....

OK, it could be a song in my head, anyway.
