vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

and you'd rather do something more menial that requires less thought?

I save things like filing just for days like that.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I wanted to call in sick too.

Well, I'm kind of dizzy and nauseated and having hot and cold flashes. Good times!

Also, do folks ever go to work so tired where ya' just don't want to think?

Oh hell yes. All the time. That's how I feel right now! My plan for today is to do some menial but necessary data entry and coding. Very, very slowly.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Well, I'm kind of dizzy and nauseated and having hot and cold flashes. Good times!

Yuck!

I'm archiving a bunch of stuff for a former consultant of ours (which happily doesn't require much thought). Currently I'm working remotely on a client's server. They have winzip, which works differently than the built-in zip that comes with Windows. It's annoying me. I can easily work around it, but I'd prefer to just sit here and sulk.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Yesterday was my Sick Day. This mornign I surprised myself by actually not feeling wretched first thing in the AM. Now that I'm at work, I'm deteriorating some, but still have hopes for a decently productive day.

Watching Mike Rowe get bit by non-poisonous watersnakes really helps my morning be bright, though.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Right now, I'm curled up on the sofa, with the cat, but I'm still jealous of their fur coats, since my heat is still broken.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I am ill. But, 2 people are on vacation, one is in another office in another city, so there would only be 2 of us to begin with. So, I'm here for her. She also brought me pumpkin bread and coffee- she's worth the effort.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Hah! Every week or so, we get the minutes from one faculty committee or another. They are as boring as you would imagine. But I just received the minutes of the Curriculum Committee from a physics professor, prefaced thusly:

"The meeting was held on a beautiful day in late October. Freshly fallen gold and crimson leaves waltzed in remarkable eddies outside the window of the [...] conference room, and low-hanging gray clouds sped eastward beneath an overcast sky, like sailing ships racing toward the Atlantic..."

You gotta admire the guy for trying!

What is even happening?

Oh, speaking of paying attention, I did read the link from earlier about the Christian Coalition, and it seems to me like they're permanently marginalized now, which pleases me no end.

Well, yeah! And it seems a deliberate choice in favor of marginalization, on their part. I mean...

"Now that you've chosen me to lead you, I would like to broaden our platform to do stuff Jesus actually told us to do."

"No."

Huh?

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Heh. I'm wondering if he's feeling like his committee notes are largely unread and wants to see if anybody's reading.
