Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I wanted to call in sick too. The bed was so comfy, and sleep was so nice....

Instead, I slept late and drove to work to make up the time.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think I would be getting more work done if I weren't so resentful about sitting here right now. But that's an unprovable hypothesis.

Also, do folks ever go to work so tired where ya' just don't want to think? Like, it takes too much effort... and you'd rather do something more menial that requires less thought?

I loved Eric's reaction when...

It was almost as good as when he saw Matt chatting his daughter up at her dance recital after he had just told him to get some girl in the back seat of his car.

Yes. That's when I file, papers or emails. Or, right now, that's when I look for stuff to throw away off the shelves.

I wanted to call in sick too.

Well, I'm kind of dizzy and nauseated and having hot and cold flashes. Good times!

Also, do folks ever go to work so tired where ya' just don't want to think?

Oh hell yes. All the time. That's how I feel right now! My plan for today is to do some menial but necessary data entry and coding. Very, very slowly.
