Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't like today. On the upside, though, I have chocolate cake. On the downside, I've learnt that it's a really good idea to take my migraine prophylactics as scheduled. And that's the upside of the down bit.

Tidying will give me a sense of purpose, and I hope also a sense of achievement. I could even file.

Hmm. Framing that penultimate sentence made me wonder--how do Buffistas feel about the use of "hopefully" as a sentence adverb? As in, to replace "I hope" in the sentence under consideration. Bad? Inevitable? With precedent?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

how do Buffistas feel about the use of "hopefully" as a sentence adverb?

I know it's not right, but I do it anyway.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

MINE DID.

Wait, what? Was there something about a kid?

Bad? Inevitable? With precedent?

Yes.

What is even happening?

I've always misused hopefully, but have recently become hyper-aware of it. I liked it better when I was unaware. Hopefully, I'll forget, soon.
