how do Buffistas feel about the use of "hopefully" as a sentence adverb?
I know it's not right, but I do it anyway.

MINE DID.
Wait, what? Was there something about a kid?
Bad? Inevitable? With precedent?
Yes.
Hmm. Framing that penultimate sentence made me wonder--how do Buffistas feel about the use of "hopefully" as a sentence adverb? As in, to replace "I hope" in the sentence under consideration. Bad? Inevitable? With precedent?
I've always misused hopefully, but have recently become hyper-aware of it. I liked it better when I was unaware. Hopefully, I'll forget, soon.
I HAVE A KID!!!!!!
That all seems rather sudden...
you are all dead to me.
I HAVE A KID!!!!!!
Huh? Wha?
Whoot! But I thought you already did?
Bad? Inevitable? With precedent?
That's precisely how I feel about the incorrect usage of hopefully. But it seems pedantic to correct anyone not in my English class so I don't.
ita, if I see you tomorrow (and if not, then maybe friday? tomorrow is a lying in day and K will be here, so we might be a little bit droopy and sad.... if you don't mind droopy and sad....) remind me to give you one or two of the tres leche cakes in the fridge.
Allyson, bless her soul, came to visit and brought portos. I'm super loved.
I swear to god, I start bouncing in my chair or on my ball and grinning like an idiot everytime I see those words. msbelle's son. Is coming home soon. And he's got an awesome mom. And his own room, with his stuff. Even though I know it has been in process for a while, the immediacy hit when it was a certain kid and then it seemed like a whirlwind. It's amazing.
