And for any Chicagoistas thinking about lunch: [link]
Luckily, I've never eaten at any of those.
I'm pretty sure I've gotten food poisoning from two different restaurants in Chicago since I've lived here. (The Popeyes on Ashland & Irving Park, and some hotdog place on Lawrence.)
I am now doing the funny farm thing also. late to the party. I have 16 filled out boxes though so far - good? bad? I do not really understand what the goal is though as I did not read anything.
Today at work is day 1 of "pretend msbelle is not here" in prep for me being gone a month. is fun.
I, too am doing the funny farm thing. I am stupid, however, as it took me forever to figure out that I had to press enter after making my guess. And I am still stuck on the farm...
Luckily, I've never eaten at any of those.
Neither have I. I've never eaten at a Popeyes, and I think now I never will.
Yeah, years ago the Popeyes on Milwaukee Ave (in Wicker Park) was shut down for a while for health violations. I used to eat there occasionally - that particular Popeyes seemed more skanky than most....
This sounds cool:
If that is cool then
The Velvet Underground With Nico
has been supplanted by Creed's
Heavy Clay.
And
Gravity's Rainbow
has been bumped by
Jonathan Livingston Seagull.
You can toss
Fleur du Mal
in the trashcan, because you'll only need
Stanyan Street and Other Sorrows.
Don't hold back now, Hec.
Hmm... I wonder who Hec's Secret Santa is? I have some advice for him/her....
eta: For a second or two, I was thinking, "What did I do to piss of Hec? - Oh yeah...."
Why do Americans hate dollar coins? Can someone (preferably a UKer) tell the USians that there is nothing wrong with having a large denomination coin in circulation?
I wonder if having the presidents (or MALES) on the coins will help them catch on better than the Susan B. Anthony or Sacagawea dollars.
DH loved the Sacagawea dollars because when they played poker, they had a quarter limit--with the exception of Sac dollars. They called it a Sac-it-to-me bet.
I resisted the dollar coins at first, but now I love them. The only drawback is that there aren't any wallets that are really perfect for a lot of heavy change.
