I'm the same way with strange cities, but the worst for me was D.C. Although, now that downtown Boston has changed so much with the new tunnel, I find myself scared to drive there as well.

Polgara, are you supposed to be driving at all?

Funny thing is, I'm ok with D.C. despite getting hopeless lost (seriously cluelessly lost) in SW D.C. on one occasion, When I finally broke down at some ungodly hour and stopped at a gas station, the dude told me how to get to 295 or whatever (it was all of a block away!) and told me to lock my doors tight. And then I discovered my blouse was unbuttoned to beneath my bra. Oy.
I haven't really been forbidden, per se. If I keep my head glued to the headrest, it keeps my back straight and doesn't hurt as much. If it starts to bother me, I can hand the keys to Lee or sarameg.
I will also glare menacingly at her if I think she is overdoing it.
HA! I love how carefully parsed doctor's orders become.
Good! GLARE away at her.
OK, so we're gonna being monitoring doctors' orders militantly, 'kay?
Swear to gawd, you poor people.
If I overdo it, I can just ice on the way up to BB. Allyson's passenger seat reclines.
Ha! Y'all are so funny. Seriously, he never said no driving, I just have to be really vigilant about my posture whilst doing so.
