Hey, Lee knows LA! She can take care of me. It's just I can't find my ficking atlas and have no idea. I need my maps, damnit!
EDIT: AND UM, OK? Whoops, capslock. I'm agreeable and flexible and all that shit.
OK, I just tried to superglue a cut and...it's a mess. I'm a loon.
See! I love when things work. It's so beautiful.
sarameg, you'll be between me and the airport, so if you want, I can pick you up either before or after I pick up Lee.
I kinda blew it off, but Allyson was quite pissed. I just...for some reason I don't want to believe it was more than coincidence, even though I walked the entire rest of the restaurant to check. White as the eye could see.
Oy. It wasn't the Argentinian place, was it?
Polgara, that would very much work. Uh, I have no cellphone, though. So communicate here, lj or via the people who are kind enough to put up with me.
I have to admit, I'm somewhat ashamed of being afeared of LA traffic, especially since I've had a couple people not here tell me like I drive as if in LA (um, not sure how I should take that.) Blame it on the Blue Shuttle loonitunedness. Reality is, given a map, a destination and a car, I do just fine. It's just the anticipation that fucks with my head.
I'm the same way with strange cities, but the worst for me was D.C. Although, now that downtown Boston has changed so much with the new tunnel, I find myself scared to drive there as well.
Polgara, are you supposed to be driving at all?
I'm the same way with strange cities, but the worst for me was D.C.
Funny thing is, I'm ok with D.C. despite getting hopeless lost (seriously cluelessly lost) in SW D.C. on one occasion, When I finally broke down at some ungodly hour and stopped at a gas station, the dude told me how to get to 295 or whatever (it was all of a block away!) and told me to lock my doors tight. And then I discovered my blouse was unbuttoned to beneath my bra. Oy.
I haven't really been forbidden, per se. If I keep my head glued to the headrest, it keeps my back straight and doesn't hurt as much. If it starts to bother me, I can hand the keys to Lee or sarameg.
