Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
My cat just finished up a course of antibiotics for a bladder infection. Said infection had caused him to pee on a couch and on a bed. Nature's Miracle took care of the worst of the pee, and it seemed that the little guy had been using his litterbox again (although not as frequently as I remember him doing so before).
Well, last night he decided to poop on the same couch he'd piddled on before. (whitefonted just to spare those who don't want to hear details) And
due to the quantity of poop, it appeared that perhaps he'd been constipated for a while--he'd pooped once in his litterbox, then not again for a couple of days. Fortunately, it was easy to clean up, and didn't leave any stains. I'm really hoping this was an abberration, and that perhaps the antibiotics have screwed with his digestion a little.
I've been spraying the main rooms of my house with Feliway, and I hope this helps. I don't know what I'll do if this continues. There is no good place to shut him away in this house that would be comfortable for him and safe for my stuff.
107.1 (The Big Wazoo - who comes up with radio nicknames?!?) is now country, not rock/hard rock.
I did not complete a REM cycle, sadly. Why did I stay up late over a game that I didn't even care about?? Oh right, because my friend wanted to work on flowers and then changed her mind once I was there. Gronk to infinity.
Can you crate cats like you can with dogs? I hope you find a solution soon, Anne.

Holy crap! This was a great hard rock station! My ex-BiL's college roommate introduced me to that station. I can't believe the Big Wazoo's gone country. My world, she is askew.

Blergh. I took a hot bath and went to bed at 10. Missed the trouncing. But I'm wearing my Florida sweatshirt today. (Not that I'm a Florida fan, but DH brings me a sweatshirt from every state he visits when he travels for work so I have this one.) The only care I have for the outcome of the game is whether or not we won in the football pool in DH's office. Which we'll know today.
Anne, good luck. Hopefully this is just an after-affect of the meds and the infection and he'll be back to normal soon.

OSU was pretty well stomped upon. Good luck to the DH.
~ma for your kitty, Anne.
And congrats to B and baby B!
::crawls back into gronk::
Yay for ChiKat having a good first day!
Yay for Suzi's trainee having a brain!
Yay for B&E and Baby! So excited for them!
{{{Anne}}} Give your vet a quick call. I'm betting it was the meds. Poor Jeeves. He's had a rough couple of weeks, which have caused a rough couple of weeks for his mom.
I went to bed before the game was over, but kept waking up to my neighbors loud cheering (sound travels really weird in my bedroom and I can hear stuff from down teh street).
This morning I discovered Florida won, and someone at work said "aren't you happy the state was represented?" No I'm not there's only one Florida team that I want to see in a National Championship and that's FSU.
Go Florida! (No, I am not really a big Florida fan, but I did want them to win this game) They really did play well. They are verra verra fast.

Because she said it so well.
I am alone in a quiet office, with a full pot of coffee. The boys went back to school today. Ah, a schedule of sorts.
The Florida/OSU game is on in my office right now, so that the guys who watched it live at 3:00 am can watch it again, theoretically more coherently.
Random thoughts: I read somewhere that walking 10,000 steps a day is a good way to lose weight. So I got a pedometer. Turns out I already walk well over that, just in a normal day. More drastic measures are indicated (although NOT fat calipers!).
I was just offered a job in DC. They want me to start now. Um. Sorry, no.
Shopping for housing in DC gives me anxiety attacks.
I've decided that kobold society (in D&D, but really, kobold society anywhere) should look like naked mole rat society.

Yeah, that commute would be a bitch.
