Zoe: Next time we smuggle stock, let's make it something smaller. Wash: Yeah, we should start dealing in those black-market beagles.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Timelies, everyone.

Got back from Italy last night. Will have stories later. Right now, waiting for coffee. I will miss Italian coffee.

Our wings are not tired.

Welcome back, Hil!

I made a list. I can take a break now, right?

Now tagless for your comfort.

My family was huge into Risk. The competitive streak was strong. You'd have thought control of the real world was at stake. I sort of miss board games.

Welcome back, Hil!

sj, I hope you were able to get some rest last night and the pain is better.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

We weren't allowed to play Risk because my mother got so upset at how vicious we'd all get.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I still love board games. Not so much Risk, which never really struck me as that well-balanced (though the special missions help), but I have a closet full of board games. Oddly enough, not Monopoly. Wallybee likes playing some of them too. The current favourite is called National Geographic's Expedition. It does not hurt that one of the destinations has penguins.

I love a lot of board games. Clue can still turn stoic teens into gigglyheads. My favorite times around the table growing up were card games. I need to make another effort to get the boys to play cards with us. Yahtzee is a good time too.

Going through the stacks of junk on top of surfaces in my bedroom. Ick. DH is the worst about dumping out the pockets. Coins, receipts, tools, papers, disks, chewed up straws. I'm a woman with a mission. A place for everything and everything in its place. Yeah, I know, never gonna happen.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

sj, I hope you managed to get some sleep.

Once, a friend was really depressed about a breakup. She went over to some friends and they played Risk. She came back saying, "They let me conquer the world. I feel much better."

The only board game I like is Scrabble, which I have a fighting chance to win. In Monopoly, I always buy all the utilities and go broke.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Iwas just thinking about board games. we own none probbably because I am like laura - not really competative and the kinds of games DH likes - like scarbble- are not my kind of game . ( guess why i don't play scrrabble).

I do all I can at once, and by the time I have the energy to get back to it, more mess has arrived.

time limits. Never do all you can in one day, unless you can finish. If you use alll your eneergy one day how can you go back to it? I am expecting the office will take me a month. One of the reasons DH is not helping at this point is because he has no concept of stop - you can do more tomorrow.

A place for everything and everything in its place. Yeah, I know, never gonna happen.

Don't say never. - Just change what you mean - Those emptied pockets - a big bowl or basket. Someone might have to go through it every so often - so make it big enough to hold some stuff - but not so big that go through it is overehelming. plus, i belive you need a box for stuff that you want , but need to find homes for. New stuff is always comming into the house .

And nothing happens all at once unless you have a team of organizers come into your house. We did our closet over a year ago. I have recently come to the conclusion that I need two under the bed storage boxes - In CA we don't have super cold winters - but cold enough that there are a few things that are only worn in the winter - a few - just for summer things. Putting them in a box under the bed would make the switch over easy and painless. being in another room just makes it hard.

organization is on my brain - This is all done before Coffee.

I'm getting the pig!

Every Christmas and Thanksgiving, between dinner and dessert, we play some kind of board game while our food digests a bit. This last Christmas we played Scene It (tv edition). Not once but twice, I guessed the answer and everyone balked at how lame my answer was - my own teammates included. I was right, though, and I realized, that night, that doing the cabbage patch victory dance is sooo not beneath me.

I need to get my butt in the shower if I'm going to venture out for groceries today. And it's kind of a necessary outing since I'm low on tp.

ION ~ Sandra (semi-homemade) Lee's hair scares me. She looks like a Farrah impersonator today.

DH wants to know why there are always soft- focus shots of here.

I watch her just before I go to work. So I am not really watching her- just catching bits and yelling at her.

Last time I saw her she was throwing a patriotic party. "have one in the middle of winter and show how much you love the USA" . She is already running out of ideas. I think because her idea of theme is let's color our food.
