Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thanks, Kristin. The nighttime pain hasn't been bad enough to actually keep me awake in a while, so I am counting myself lucky.

Our wings are not tired.

hi thread

I hope you had a restful painless sleep sj.

The boys got a spongeBob monopoly for Christmas. It will take a lot to get me in a game. DH and Brendon are fiercely serious about these things while Bobby and I are try to keep the peace and have fun players. It never ends well. I love board games, but don't have the competitive thing going on.

Must get some of the list done today.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Timelies, everyone.

Got back from Italy last night. Will have stories later. Right now, waiting for coffee. I will miss Italian coffee.

Our wings are not tired.

Welcome back, Hil!

I made a list. I can take a break now, right?

Now tagless for your comfort.

My family was huge into Risk. The competitive streak was strong. You'd have thought control of the real world was at stake. I sort of miss board games.

Welcome back, Hil!

sj, I hope you were able to get some rest last night and the pain is better.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

We weren't allowed to play Risk because my mother got so upset at how vicious we'd all get.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I still love board games. Not so much Risk, which never really struck me as that well-balanced (though the special missions help), but I have a closet full of board games. Oddly enough, not Monopoly. Wallybee likes playing some of them too. The current favourite is called National Geographic's Expedition. It does not hurt that one of the destinations has penguins.

Our wings are not tired.

I love a lot of board games. Clue can still turn stoic teens into gigglyheads. My favorite times around the table growing up were card games. I need to make another effort to get the boys to play cards with us. Yahtzee is a good time too.

Going through the stacks of junk on top of surfaces in my bedroom. Ick. DH is the worst about dumping out the pockets. Coins, receipts, tools, papers, disks, chewed up straws. I'm a woman with a mission. A place for everything and everything in its place. Yeah, I know, never gonna happen.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

sj, I hope you managed to get some sleep.

Once, a friend was really depressed about a breakup. She went over to some friends and they played Risk. She came back saying, "They let me conquer the world. I feel much better."

The only board game I like is Scrabble, which I have a fighting chance to win. In Monopoly, I always buy all the utilities and go broke.
