My parents are thinking about moving up to Lake Shasta for their retirement. One of the draws is that they would not be able to garden in the winter, and therefore would not have gardening chores hanging over them for at least part of the year.
Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
May is way too hot for me to work outside for any amount of time. It is now or never for any big outside projects.
I watched Waltons some and enjoyed it. DH#1 was very fond of it. Never did see Little House. There are so many series I have never seen.
It's so wonderful, -t. Of course, I may be biased.
Also, I love the theme song (trumpet!). I've been sitting here listening to it play over and over. Which may give you an idea of the depth of my Waltons love. Although, I'm not sure whether that would encourage you to watch it, or to run away as quickly as you can from the crazy woman! If you don't have NetFlix, I could probably lend discs before giving them to my mom. As long as they're not damaged, I know she would be tickled pink to have them appreciated by more people. If you're interested, email me your address.
eta: I took too long to post this. The offer was meant for -t, but is good for others. I just need them back by early Feb.
That is freaky, Suzi. I got no natural explanation. Voodoo, maybe.
I will put it on my Netflix queue, libkitty. Um, as soon as I'm allowed to - it gets up to 500 movies and I'm cut off...
I'm booking thropugh the Wire right now, though, so I should have some room on the queue soonish.
I thought I was bad with my NetFlix queue. Actually, I am, but there's just so much that I want to see! And I don't see most things first time through since I only have enough cable to get networks. Yep, I'm cheap.
Watch out-- I broke my ARM when they tried to teach me!
Amusingly, I almost mentioned that, but then I had to explain Men With Brooms first.
Though removing the breasts seems weird, I totally understand the rest of it. So I was totally with these parents...until they called her their "pillow angel" and I wanted to smack them.
Just the not-yet-expanded buds that form the breast tissue. Nipples, etc, still intact. Though the pillow angel part makes me shudder, it also seems pretty typical language choice for parents of severely disabled children, at least the ones with blogs.
Given how often you hear reports about the sexual victimization of the severely disabled, I think they made as good a choice as they could, but what a choice to have to make.
It's the tv that really bumps up the queue.
That and not watching stuff for stretches, and then adding a bunch of stuff that you missed because you weren't going to the theater, either.
Yeah, that pillow angel thing creeped me out at first, but then I started thinking about the fucked-up mental gymnastics people in a situation like that must have to do to cope with it all - eh, I can see it.
Yeah, the tv gets me too. I really should upgrade to 3 at a time.
