Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Huh. I totally forgot this about vw's mum.

"Hell may be other people, but sometimes, if you're lucky, that also describes heaven." - PMM
I have never been entertained or amused by a clown. Impressed sometimes, but it's often overshadowed by my need to watch from the hall.
I typically feel that way as well. Imagine my surprise when my mom decided to take clown training and be a clown as a hobby. She’s got the whole outfit and everything. Her clown name is Gertrude. She’s actually kind of cute, though – she has big curly red ponytails. And, she doesn’t do the obnoxious, invading personal space things. That’s just so not her. Actually, most people who know her can’t believe she could even be a clown. She pretty much just makes fun balloons, and the kids always loved her.
I just staggered in from a New Year's party and read the news about Gus. He was such a smart, funny and snarky person. I remember his first bar posting.
Again, thanks for letting us know, kimi. I was thinking about him not long ago and was wondering how he was. My thoughts go out to you and Seamus. Gus was so proud of the work he was doing.
I wish I could be more articulate, but it's considerably past my bed time. I guess I'd better stop crying and go to bed.
I'm glad it's 2007. A lot of things about 2006 sucked.
Hey, we're here all year. Maybe longer.
It's this thing we do...
Just spent a few hours on the phone with an almost friend. Now thinking of falling asleep. Or falling and then going to sleep. In any way, being sure that it is the next year as the next year should be nicer than the last year. It would almost have to be...
Oh my God.
It doesn't seem real. I hardly knew him, and I don't think we ever exchanged more than a few words, but he was just...Gus. Who would never let the
Firefly
thread die. Who said the most profound things without even trying.
Wow. This is sad.
I am not sure I ever really ''spoke'' to Gus muich, but I was always happy to read his post and am very sorry to hear of his passing. Thank you so much kimi for taking the time to post here and let us know.
Yeah, I was extremely sorry to hear the news last night. Many condolences to his family and those who knew him better. He always seemed like a great guy.
I'm very sorry to hear about Gus. Much peace to his family and friends.
Oh, what sad news to wake up to. Kimi, I am so sorry for your loss. Gus brought a lot to the board, and he will be missed. And, as others have said, please let us know if there is anything we can do to help. That's what we're here for.
In the last two days I've skimmed through 900-some posts in here. Ahh, how I've missed my talky Bitches. {{}} and ~ma for anyone that I miss.
Much peace and ~ma to you and yours, DJ. So sorry for your loss.

vw, love your Thelma. Are you now going to get a food processor and name it Louise? What appliance will be played by Brad Pitt?
kimi, thanks for coming to tell us about Gus. I don't think I really posted with him, but I am sad to see him leave us. Much peace and love to you at this difficult time.
::raises glass::
And then the rest of the thread gave me allergies. I'll need to be braced for the wake, as the outpouring of love from the Buffistas floors me even on an average day.
Thank you Trudy for posting a link to this in Beep Me. I was just reading through threads this morning, came across the wake suggestion in Bureacracy, and was very confused, so I went striaght to Beep Me.
I have little to say that has not been said by people more eloquent than I am, upthread, but my condolances to Kimi and Seamus and Seamus's wife. Gus's wit and humor will be greatly missed here on this board.
