Well, we may not have parted on the best of terms. I realize certain words were exchanged. Also, certain... bullets. But that's air through the engine. It's past. We're business people.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Also, with her recent relationship ending she is probably more emotional than usual. It's good that she can share this with you.

There is that. I definitely won't say anything negative to her about it - as it would only upset her rather than help her process.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Urk. It's pouring here. I didn't bring my raincoat. Bother.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

We still celebrate my little brother's birthday while we're all home for Christmas- it is on the 22nd. This year there were upwards of 25 people. We set off fireworks, big professional ones, have pizza and fizzy lemonade. We used to get an "Alex present" but I don't think we did this year.

Laura, I'm sending your kids cluesticks for (belated) Christmas.

ETA: Actually it occurs to me that the mug with pictures of my parents, Alex, me and my sisters that we all got were probably our Alex presents, but they just didn't call it that.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Hec and JZ, you have a gorgeous family. Matilda keeps getting cuter and cuter (and I am starting to see a little bit of her mommy in her) and Emmett's big brother love is just adorable.

Fashionable people: I was looking for a waist cincher the other day on ebay, but all of them had the underbust thing, is there any non-ebay suggestions for a waist cincher without the underbust?

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

"Trudy is working her ass off until the end of the year. I'll leave work early (a.k.a. on time) in order to be with you, but not to wait around for you. So if you're running late, please tell me."

No way to say that without sounding like a complete bee-yotch, huh?

Compassionately intolerant

That doesn't sound bee-yotchy at all to me. Pretty much what I would say...and AM saying to someone who is chronically late in my life.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

sj, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "underbust thing", as my corsetry universe consists of overbust (covers the girls) and underbust (doesn't, including anything sold as a waist cincher). Could you link or describe more?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I think I might tackle this dress sans the eyelets.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Are you thinking of underwire, sj? Because my understanding is the same as amych's - underbust just means it does not cover the bust.

Looks cute, Aimee. Will it fit properly if you skip the eyelets/lacing?
