My family is still sleeping, and I expect they will be for a while. We didn't get home from the late service until 1:30 a.m. I need to try to keep my sleep schedule as normal as possible, so I am up and about.

Good morning and Merry Christmas!
Up late. Up early. DH back to sleep again. Kids doing things with friends. I'm considering a shower before downing mimosas with my neighbor. Which may give me the energy to dive into my chores, or might put me to sleep. We shall see.
I am in John Wayne International Airport, waiting for my flight home. Have paid $10 for a WiFi day pass, since I'll be sitting in O'Hare for over two hours between flights later today, and they have a T-Mobile hotspot there, too. Woot!
I am going to be home for Christmas for the first time since 2003!!
She being the only grandkid of the family, is SPOILED ROTTEN!!! And ya, I contributed to it.
I could have written this about Ellie. She unwrapped stuff yesterday and this morning and there's still a huge pile of presents for her in the living room. She's napping now, trying to build up energy for the next round pf presents.
So far, it has been a wonderful Christmas. Ellie's home and healthy, my whole family is here, and we should have a wonderful meal this afternoon. It's so nice to my whole family here - I wish they could stay.

Shortly my mum and my wee sister and I will go round the corner to visit my grandmother and take her pressies, and SA is going to have a bath, and then, finally CHRISTMAS WILL HAPPEN!!!!!
(normally Chez Jay we have Christmas lunch around mid day, but this year we're going for an evening meal because Nana can't join us and blah blah blah HUNGRY CAKES!!!!)
....the roast smells good. Sigh. WeeSisterJay and I have prepared vegetables, which will just have time to burn by the time we get back, probably. Hmm. We'll see. Anyway, Merry Christmas, y'all!

I'm just waking up. Need to shower, eat breakfast, wrap a few little gifts, and then head over to my aunt and uncle's place. Sympathetic noises to the sickees...my nose is stuffy today, but I refuse to believe that I wll be joining your ranks. As Em would say, "NO SICK!"

TCG and I slept in a bit, then exchanged presents, and put together all of the food we're bringing to his dad's house today. We have to leave in about and hour, so I should probably consider getting dressed soon.
bleargh I left my bagel in the toaster. Cookies for breakfast again! OK Sudafed you can kick in now I just have to get through the next 8 hours of work and them it's Christmas, Yay!
