Where did you go to see them, vw? I think of them as a New York standard. Do they have a travelling show?
'Objects In Space'
Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
vw, I got your message this morning, but I didn't even get out of bed until noon-y. How are you doing now?
Where did you go to see them, vw?
Wang Theater in Boston.
I think of them as a New York standard.
I always have too. But, instead of having it "set" in NYC, the whole theater "travels" to NYC for a portion of the show.
Do they have a travelling show?
Yeah. I don't know how many cities. They're amazing, though.
I sure will.
(Who is she?)
She is a writer who went to work in PR for the porn industry. She also has written several books--one of them, Naked Ambition is about how women have changed the porn industry.
Here's her website, with bio, books, blog, books, etc.
She used to do the FUNNIEST buffy recaps for boobtoob.net, which is how I became a fan. She lives in LA.
The discussion topic was whether or not Dear Abby did the correct, moral thing in turning in a guy who confessed to getting excited by child pornography and was "in love" with a 10 year-old girl. He reached out for help before he harmed anyone.
Naturally, everyone thinks absolutely, hands down she did the right thing.
Somehow, our professor decided to post a dissertation on how "porn" is horrible etc etc etc without defining the terms, as has been pointed out.
How are you doing now?
I'm actually pretty crappy. And frustrated about the crappiness. It's a whole circular thing.
Thanks for asking.
Damn, Aimee. Child porn /= porn in general.
She crazy.

Hell, maybe I'll call her.
My friend Jay has been reading Jenna Jamieson's book How to Make Love Like a Porn Star. His girlfriend raves about how great a book it is and how much it has taught them.
I should wish list it.

Can I look anything up for you, now that I'm out of bed?
Sure. Let me e-mail you.
