I had to buy it because it gripped me with such hysterics in the bookstore when I casually picked it up. The tempo is perfect and the drawings delightful. The only other one I have is the ABC book.
Does Em have a favorite? (or, you know...you?)
Oz ,'Beneath You'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

JZ is always pimping Sandra Boynton's Philadelphia Chickens which comes with a CD and many catchy tunes. Also, Meryl Streep.
Our favorites are "Horns to Toes" and "HIPPOS GO BERSERK".
I usually do "Horns to Toes" in an over-exaggerated Scarlett O'Hara southern accent.
Sitting at the airport drinking bad coffee.
Yay vacation! Yay not!work!
We love Sandra Boynton around here, too, but I've never heard of Philadelphia Chickens, Horns to Toes, Hippos Go Berserk, or Barnyard Dance.
I'ma have to go shopping again soon.
I can recite Hippos Go Berserk by heart. It was the first Boynton book we got and I read it to Em every morning when she nursed.
One hippo all alone,
calls two hippos on the phone...
Is this the one with big gay things?
I love it when I can recite the kids' books. We recite Moo, Baa, La La La together, and Aidan makes the animal sounds. We've gone from that to saying, "Aidan is a ...." and whatever we say, he makes the sound for. It's especially funny when you say, "Aidan is a pigeon." Because then he goes Mo Willems and says, "Lemme drive da bus!"
Kara can recite most of Wolves in the Walls.
Aidan learned to tolerate stuffed animals with the Fuzzy Fuzzy Fuzzy book and the bedtime routine is easier with the Going to Bed Book.
Em needs Paul Strickland's, Dinosaur Stomp. I use a southern accent with that one and the kids LOVE it.
Aidan reads Maisy books to himself. He loves the illustrations and, since he watches the show, he knows every character's name and the basic activities in which Maisy engages. He tells a good story.

Nope, that's "Hey! Wake up!"
