My heat, however, is no where to be found. I have electricity, but I have steam heat. With no heat actually coming out right now. It's cold in here.

Trader Joe's Southwest Salsa (with Jicama) is so yummy

Sadly, I eat when I'm sad. And when I'm happy. And, you know, the rest of the time.

Cause food is, y'know, yummy! I've always thought, though that if I could just go cold turkey, it would be easier. To be hardcore. But you can't coldturkey food like you can cigs or booze or whatever. You still have to eat. For the rest of your life. So compromises start slipping in....and even if you're good for a while, eventually, it all goes to hell.

I made a cranberry salsa with jicama for Thanksgiving!

I'm doing ok now--with the aid of some flexeril, Cindy. Today was rough. Christopher's dealing with a complete fuckus at work (not his fault but he took the job and it's his responsibility now so he's getting roasted). Which means he's put in two 12 hour days this week (since he's taking Thursday off to stay with the kids for my gyno appointment and he's flying out Friday morning).

He got home and I climbed into a hot bath and cried for about 15 minutes. Then I promptly drugged myself up and am now pretty looped.

I'm set for Friday for the injections--bring on the needles in my spine! A coworker of Christopher is driving me (her sitter, who was the person who watched Owen this summer) is watching the kids.

Oh, I'm so glad. I was so worried you'd have to put the shot off longer. Stupid asshat doctor. Still. Frakking Friday. That's not right. They could have given you your darned shot by flashlight.

Heh. They need an x-ray machine--they scan you as the needle goes into your spine so there's no unfortunate accidents. I wasn't happy they couldn't do it on Wednesday (they only have the surgical center room on Fridays and alternating Wednesdays). So it was this Friday or next Wednesday. Effers.

I also just realized that needle talk may be squicking people. However, I am stoned to the gills so I'm just blabbering away about it.

TCG and I did some Christmas shopping tonight, including buying our Christmas ornaments. I also finally bought myself a new bra that fits properly with some early Christmas money I was given. Now it is time for us to crash. I am extra exhausted tonight. I think it is because it is so very cold outside. We went straight from 60s to 30s in a couple of days.

It's only $10.00 in the store, but the cups hold about 2 tablespoons of tea. I've never seen such tiny cups before that weren't in a toy tea set. They're really cute, but...I don't think it would work. I ended up buying some candle holders shaped like handless tea cups. They're really pretty. One broke--Kara smacked the bag around--but the rest are holding up nicely and they added a neat touch to the dinner.

I cracked and ruined the teapot that my mother gave me.

Oh, that kind of thing sucks so much. What did it look like? Does the brand still exist? Was it one-of-a-kind?

I can stick with healthy lunches so much more easily when I use my lunchbox

I think you've covered everything. I hate those sellers who tell you what size something is and expect that you'll know what that means in measurements for that time period, brand and line and I recently bought a coat that the seller neglected to mention was missing several buttons. That kinda pissed me off.

You know dressaday.com's stories in the life of a dress? I think that's the only thing that could possibly be missing, which is to say not missing but might be cool is a little story about the dress might get the listing more notice. (I can't fix that non-sentence!)

Dinner was a success except that the pain free is a sad memory. I haven't stood to cook that long in a very long time and now my lower back hurts from my knees to the middle of my back. Oy. The good thing, though, is that I expect it to come back, so that's good.

Everything came out very well and everyone liked the Iron Chef Sesame garlic sauce I used on the pork and vegetables. It was nice not to have to make it myself.

I just ate some mini cream puffs and I'm having a cup of brewed coffee before bed... which will be Very Soon.
