Kids are napping and I'm compulsively checking political blogs. I should go watch recorded tv or take a hot bath.
Sara did NOT nap today. Which was why I was desperate to put a DVD on for her. Instead of election coverage, Tom and Jerry are up to their old antics on our TV.
Thanks to me. Heh. That won't get old for a while. I am so technophobic, it's not funny.
LA has a predicted high of 95 today. And I'm not even really going to go outside. It's a waste, but stuff's getting done around the house.
It's not even 5, and it is dark outside. I hate this.
It's dark and drizzly here.
Someone please talk me out of buying this [link] and tell me to stop shopping and go back to work.
My part of the audit is over. I think I got out of it unscathed. Time will tell.
Left on the to-do...
- Vote
- Hit the drug store
- Write paper that was due yesterday (got an official extension, yay me)
- Try NOT to eat any more german chocolate cake
Ginger - that panel is....I can't say anything bad. I want.
It's on sale!
Another pro. Still scraping for a con.
Ok, I was in this high powered audit meeting this afternoon. Mucky mucks from around the firm, each one with their laptop checking data as we go from query to query.
One of them interrupts the current discussion to share an important piece of news. He had just gotten a CNN update regarding
Brittany Spears filing for divorce
. Of all the possible news on an election day, he felt the need to share that. Geee - thanks.
In non-celebrity, non-election news, how did I not know that MarketSpice had put out candles that smell like their tea??? My parents drank that tea all the time throughout my childhood, and my mother's house still smells like it. I don't drink tea, but I love that smell. (Maybe that's why I tend to liking the citrus-spice scents.)
orders eleventy-billion MarketSpice candles
I feel my bitch coming on. I don't really have a leg to stand on, but I'm rehearsing all the brilliant cutting things I could say.
