Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

It seems to have eased up in Cambridge, if it's any consolation, vw...

Thanks Laura, you are wise indeed. I'm just doing a little soul searching I think...

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

It's 33 degrees here. No snow.

I made myself a healthy breakfast (veggie omelette, one slice high-fiber toast), packed a healthy lunch (salad, bean burrito on whole-wheat tortilla, a few plantain chips), and have planned a heathly dinner (BBQ tofu, haricots verts, sweet potatoes.) I feel all virtuous today.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Cars: Black Toyota Carolla. Cloudrunner. This was in the Mid-90s, and it was new-ish. Blue Subaru Wagon. I don't remember it's name. It was fairly old when I got it. Don't remember how it died. Toyota Sienna (for 1 semester, before I decided it was too big for living in Providence, and Dad decided that the Matrix was too small for all the dogs) Periwinkle Toyota Matrix 2000. Constance. Went with me to LA and Maryland, but did not like the climb up the mountain, so I got White Subaru Forrester 2000 (I think). Dief. I like this car because it goes up the mountain and the engine heats up fast. Yay, heat.

Sorry, it was cold this morning. Is cold. Will be cold UNTIL THE END OF TIME. I mean, April. Maybe March, in spots. There were no degrees. Which, somehow, is worse than when there were negative degrees. Or it was just that I forewent my 2 layers of PJs and socks that usually make the morning bearable. Silly Abi.

Can it be the 21st already, please.

No snow here.

Sorry. That was surprise, not mocking.

brillig

I rarely name cars, but occasionally I call my current car (1978 Mustang II) Steve, for Steve Austin, because "we have the technology, we can rebuild him". This car should have been dead a dozen times over, but I've been blessed with people with the know-how and resources to fix major things when they happen.

Like the time I was pulling out of my driveway and the left front wheel Fell. Off. As in, the linkage broke and the axle end was resting on asphalt.

I need a new car, but no way in heaven or hell I can afford one, so Steve continues hauling me around. I know people laugh at Mustang II's, but this car has been miraculous.
