However, I have to say that I'm 100% positive that working is much easier than staying home with twin infants.
Absolutely.
Perhaps if the dad is the deadbeat he sounds like, he will figure that out quickly and want to go back to work.
So long as he doesn't decide that being a husband and a father is too much work and just check out entirely... Why yes, I am a pile of happy endings today. And I said none of this to her, obviously. So I am venting and rending my garments here instead.
Really, your version is likely what will happen, Stephanie. Which will be a good, good thing. Thank you for reminding me that this could work out just fine in the long run.
In bright and shiny news, my songs have only 1,000 more to go from being transferred from my iPod to the new laptop. And it doesn't look like it is going to be massively screwed this time, so it only took twice! This might be done before I go zone out for the movie. Yay Tech thread!
{{{Cass}}} Best possible outcome for your sister and the twins. I hope her husband gets his act together and decides it is easier to work than stay home with twins.
Aw, Hecubus, coolness. I *love* when KO geeks out on the sport, though most of the factoids mean little to me. But it's just the sheer fannish *love*. Reminds me of the Firth "Fever Pitch" where he says "When did we decide adults can't be mad about anything?" (Of course, I also want to knock his boots on the anchor desk. That might be a factor, too.)
whoo! Tom and I finally signed up at the local Y! Fitness, here we come.
Hivemind question: I am going to visit my bro in Holland and also spend two days in Paris. The weather is probably going to be cool and rainy and we will be there for 8 days. I plan on bringing three pullover sweaters and a cardigan. Is that too much? I love travelling but hate packing and never know if I am bringing the right amount of clothing.
I'd bring one pull over and one cardigan that could be worn together if it got extra nippy.
I have a paper to finish and reading to do but I don't wanna do any of it. Only 2 more weeks of school and then break!! Whee!!!
Are the pull-overs likely to be worn as your shirt, Robin, or over the shirt that next to your skin?
Over the shirt next to my skin. Bro informs me I should expect to wear a sweater every day, so that's 10 days including travel.
Happy Birthday, Daisy Jane!
Robin, I'd bring one cardigan, one pull-over, and a few shirts to go under the pull-over. The shirts will be lighter and less bulky than the extra pull-overs.
ETA: 10 days? I'd bring all four sweaters.
