Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hivemind question: I am going to visit my bro in Holland and also spend two days in Paris. The weather is probably going to be cool and rainy and we will be there for 8 days. I plan on bringing three pullover sweaters and a cardigan. Is that too much? I love travelling but hate packing and never know if I am bringing the right amount of clothing.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I'd bring one pull over and one cardigan that could be worn together if it got extra nippy.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I have a paper to finish and reading to do but I don't wanna do any of it. Only 2 more weeks of school and then break!! Whee!!!

What is even happening?

Are the pull-overs likely to be worn as your shirt, Robin, or over the shirt that next to your skin?

Over the shirt next to my skin. Bro informs me I should expect to wear a sweater every day, so that's 10 days including travel.

Happy Birthday, Daisy Jane!

Robin, I'd bring one cardigan, one pull-over, and a few shirts to go under the pull-over. The shirts will be lighter and less bulky than the extra pull-overs.

ETA: 10 days? I'd bring all four sweaters.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm all for packing light but you also need to pack enough clothes.

Well I ditched the movie plan. Traffic and parking made me crazy and the movie is released next week on dvd anyway.

So I ran a few errands and picked up lots more firelogs (which I left in the car cause of the rain pelting on me, but they are here and mine) and essential items like clicky sticks and sweetener for my coffee.

Am now back in inside pants and about to start a fire and catch up on BSG. It's not pretty boys in eyeliner but it is pretty people in space, so a fair trade.

I'd bring them all. Even if you have access to laundry, you don't want to spend your vacation doing laundry, and you could spill something, and you could just want some variety. You'll be gone long enough, I don't think that's over-packing.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Four sweaters for 10 days with some lighter shirts for layering sounds right to me.

Oof. Our babyproofing cold war has moved to the next level. Owen's figured out how to turn the doornob and open the door to his room during nap time. I found him awake and bouncing up and down with Olivia in her crib. I need to find something to thwart him--either keeping him in his room or out of Olivia's during nap and bed time. And find it fast.

I went to the Mid Ohio Con today and went to a friend's panel. He's launching a syndicated strip this spring and I hope he's successful. I also got the kids two cool t-shirts at the con. Owen's is black with a skull & crossbones and says "Dirty Rotten" and Liv's is pink with "Kick Ass Baby" in black.
