I'm at work listening to everyone and their neighbor complain about how crowded we are. Please don't come on the busiest day of the year if you can't stand crowds.
Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Happy Turkey Day Recovery Day! I am actually glad to say I brought no leftovers home with me. I know what I do with them. I eat them, all at once. And then my stuffed and bloated self sits and burps for the next two days. Turkey Day was very nice. Went over the teh daughter's, where I fixed the turkey. At least everything else was done, so it was very stress free. My dad, my brother and my nephew came over. We watched V for Vendetta (twice) and I left when my nephew brought out the Donnie Darko. By then, I was peopled out and came home to escape into some prime computer communing. Just a very nice day, with family and pie.
Well, we just reached a new plateau in Matilda's development.
Inconsolable crying for more than an hour. And there's nothing quite like the raw throated serration of a baby's cry to really shred your nerves. Of course, you have to do that every night for it to be colic, but still, it's a significant milestone.
I blame the fact that she was fairly tractable all night without her usual arsenic hour.
Babies stress me out.
{{{Hec}}} I hope Matilda is more consolable today.
We had a nice Thanksgiving with my stepdad's family, but we weren't given any leftovers either, so mom is having a smalller dinner tonight with all her Thanksgiving specialties.
I did the crazy shopping thing yesterday with Mom. We got so much done, but next year no Target, it was insane there.
I hope Matilda is more consolable today.
She finally succumbed to the power of Mom's Breast.
Good girl.
After 2 days of assorted family stresses and issues, today is Pajama Day in the McWarnigle household. I have decreed it!
I didn't bring any leftovers home from Thanksgiving, and it's probably just as well...didn't eat any food yesterday (hellooooo migraine--I have no earthly idea how ita and Betsy continue to lead vaguely normal lives, these knock me right out--have to either be lying down in the dark, or puking). And today, I am doing laundry and dishes and packing then flying to San Francisco! Whee!!!
Should probably eat something, though, since I haven't since turkey. Um.
Today (and yesterday) were pajama days chez Sail. Not only have the communists invaded, but they brought along their friend the rhinovirus. At least the Theraflu has helped with the cramps, too. It's the small things that make it worth staying up. That, and the fact they've been hammering on the walls since 8:00 this morning putting up new insulation. Nice to think my heating bill will be lower this winter, but I'd rather be able to sleep late on a SATURDAY. Asshats.
Pajama day is a very good idea, Nora. Sorry about the family stress.
