Teppy -- I'm so glad that the weekend went well.
Beth - Excellent haircut.
Toddson - whoo hoo!
And um, when I went to my doctor last week he called my knee thing a "bursa" would I have heard "bursitis" incorrectly? Any wisdom on that? For example -- will it ever heal? Or am I doomed? (And the pressure that pain in my left leg puts on my right foot - - I can't express how difficult it is to want to limp on both legs at once.)
Sumi, the joints are cushioned by something known as a bursa sack. When it becomes inflamed, it causes bursitis. I've got a bad thumb from a softball injury. Similar to arthritis, it's something that happens long after the original injury and/or overuse occurs.
beth, love the haircut! Sassy is quite right. We need more sass in the world.
Glad to see JZ and Todd! But, now I know where the 20 lbs. I gained came from. I still say, no fat is ever lost in the world, it just has to find another place to settle.
Really - when you put on a pair of pants and the first thought when you see yourself is "it's Hammer time!" it's time to retire them.
When your first thought on *anything* is "it's Hammer time!" it's time to fleeeeeeeeeeeee!
Unless you are making a "Grammar Time" icon. That is some funny shit.

I have nothing in my fridge. I could be a bachelor. I could be a pre-S Sean even. Mom gets here tomorrow. Time to clean, shop and pretend to be a grownup.
Cass, I love your tag. That song reminds me SO much of my sophomore year of college, partly b/c it was on the radio all the time, and partly b/c sophomore year was the pit of hell year.
(If it applies to you right now, though, I'm sorry for that.)
Gronklies. Was I here yesterday? I can't remember. I think I congratulated Sparky, but a big WOO HOO! anyway!
Beth, cute hair! Love.
libkitty, I'm sorry your mother is being asshatish. You could fly up and visit my mother instead. I promise she won't do any of that nasty soul-destroying stuff, though she might sing showtunes to you in the middle of Safeway (which, if you are a teenager, is soul-destroying enough).
Tipsy!JZ is adorable, and I'm sorry that Matilda had such trauma today. But yay! for inoculations!
{{{{Fay}}}} The Velveteen Rabbit angered me SO MUCH, because I couldn't understand why they had to go and burn it. V. upsetting for a justice-minded tot. (I also read it at 4, so not so much with the comprehending of communicable diseases.) I love reading your stories of teaching.
Fay, I love hearing about your kids - they sound adorable, and smart, and almost like Buffista sprog.
Tep! Yay for a good weekend and boy coupon-cutting!!!
Toddson!!! So nice to see you! I think you should come out to SF and do some new wardrobe-shopping here. Yes.
Cass, I hope you feel better soon.
I'm trying to do an exhaustive "first impressions" list, but this whole "work" thing keeps getting in the way. Pffft.
Tep, The Sundays came up on random, not a cry for help or hairpats.
Well, apart from my usual grinchy. It was just a song I had forgotten and liked hearing again.
lib, take juliana up on her offer, she has a lovely mom.
Love that song. It's an insta-earworm for me, but in a happy way.
