Turns out I have a deviated septum.
Bah. I have one of those too. I got punched in the face at a high-school dance.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Is this a story you want to share with the class?
story time!
I was going to say...
ETA: beth, are you going to share your picture with us?
the one I took is with the camra phone - and isn't very detailed. I need to take better ones with the camera.
I may stop running to the mirror in a day or two...

Not much of a story. There was this guy who was 19 but still in school - he was drunk or something. Anyway, he knew my girfriend, so he started talking to me. I couldn't understand what he was saying. He thought I was smarting off to him or something, so he punched me in the face. I had a bloody nose and a split lip in addition to the deviated septum.
He appologized a few minutes later. So that was that. But then my girlfriend and her ex convinced me I should lay on my back to stop the bleeding. So I laid on my back in the bleachers while my girfriend danced with her ex.
Oh, dear. And, I'd think your then girlfriend would be glad to be rid of someone whose first response to what (he thought was) a smart-ass comment was to punch someone in the face.

Oh, the guy who punched me was not my girfriend's ex. Just a friend, I guess.
Geez, tommyrot. Mine doesn't come with a cool story, alas. I didn't get punched in the face or anything.
Although it's possible my moment of septum-deviation was when I was three and my father slammed on the brakes and I went face-first into the dashboard. I had a little scar under my nose for many years.
Does anyone have any experience with sinus surgery that they'd share to help me decide if I want to do it? 'Cause I'm thinking no.
My dad the surgery and he says now it didn't make a damn bit of difference. He still snores really badly.
