Spike's Bitches 33: Weeping, crawling, blaming everybody else

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Dear Libkitty's mother, re:

She continues that fortunately I lucked into good friends and a good church and a good job

Having met your daughter, I can assure you, luck has very little to do with it. Try kindness, smarts, and talent, all of which she has in spades.

Yrs.

A Friend of Libkitty's.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Has anyone else here had sinus problems that seem to affect the teeth?

Remember that sinus headaches can also be migraines. And migraines can affect the teeth.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Maria -- my first impression was mostly, "Wow, I really wish I could be that friendly walking into a group of new people." Just immediately bright and outgoing.

Damn. I think there's something in my eye. Thank you, Hil. That's one of the best things that anyone's ever said about me.

I was actually terrified, though. That bravura was me overcompensating. I didn't feel as if I measured up, so the best plan was to go in with the bright and shiny and hope that no one noticed I probably didn't belong. Of course, an hour later, I realised how stupid I was and proceeded to have a great time. I've made some very good friends from that weekend.

I'll try and post my first impressions tomorrow if I get the opportunity (and if the thread hasn't moved light years beyond it).

libkitty, I don't know you except from your pixels on the screen, but your mother is as wrong as wrong can be. She obviously does not know how many people love and appreciate the person her daughter is. That's the true beauty that has no regard for weight, height, or eye color.

Thrive to spite them

Last time I had a sinus infection (which migrated to my lungs according to the doctor) every time I took a step there was as stabbing pain from my teeth up the side of my face.

The first really bad sinus infection I had my whole face hurt, every time it's been a while, but I remember just being in pain trying to smile or move my jaw and my face aching.

Now tagless for your comfort.

We're using a humidifier, saline solution for the nose, meds, and he does prop his head up. I think this issue is just starting to get worse--up till now, it's always been pretty managable.

YAY, now that I have a new computer, I can get the pictures out of my camera! And onto Teh Intarwebs!!

Like this one, which some of y'all might appreciate: Ladies in Corsets (sadly a little dark, as it was taken backstage, but...three of us from DC all fans of the corset, much like some buffistas. What you can't see because of the dark is that my corset is PINSTRIPED!)

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Well, I'm glad he is seeing a doctor soon. Sounds like you are doing every thing that can keep him going until then.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I have a question! For west-coast-y/overnight/tomorrow discussion:

Who has an IUD and would like to talk about it? I have an appointment to get one installed (I know that's not the right verb, but it makes me laugh) tomorrow afternoon. Should I expect it to hurt like hell? I'm not going back to work afterwards, so I can curl up with a heating pad if need be. But -- what should I expect? In terms of having it put in, as well as after (both short-term and down the road -- like, side effect, particuarly weight gain)? It's the Mirena, for the record. (Also, I've never had a kid, just in case anyone thought I was hiding a shady past. I know that not having had a child can make it more painful when the IUD is installed.)

The society for responsible recreational sex thanks you.

(Christ, the things I'll talk about online. Hi, mom.)
