[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I wish you could scrub the feeling of annoyance from your skin.

It's not so much annoyance as an atavistic urge to strangle with my bare hands. You do crazy threatening things anywhere near my kid and you flip all kinds of switches into Ready Alert.

Always Anti-fascist!

If I could I'd send you Paulie Walnuts, Hec. Have a chat with the man. I found my tag on an interview in the internets. I think he gets points for the use of "smite", though.

Much peace to you and yours, connie.

Much safety for EM and Emmett. This reminds me of someone here's common reminder (I disremember who...): 100 years, all new people!

I've never understood how things like slashing tires is going to improve a relationship. But then again, I've never been bugfuck craxy, so...

Always Anti-fascist!

I think it's sort of "Torture her till she likes me again."

Hec,I'm so sorry you, EM, and Emmett have to deal with this. I'll be praying for you guys.

There's something in the air with babies right now. My coworker just found out today that there is a baby ready for he and his wife to adopt. They've taken their time filling out the paperwork ,etc and just got that all turned in a few months ago and they had no idea they'd be adopting so soon! So it's kind of a surprise and he's a little freaked out, but I'm so excited for them.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Connie, I wouldn't be surprised if you can get a day of funeral leave. In-laws of the parental variety are often included on the list.

Hec, scarey, scarey. I'm glad you're getting Emmett for the next few days. I hope EM stays safe and the restraining order keeps this guy on the tame side.

askye, how nice for you friends! Adoptions can take so long, that is surprising. Still, nice!

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Fucking crazy exes. Mine followed me around for years. He never actually did anything (aside from showing up uninvited and acting menacing) but you never know what people are capable of. I hope EM's gets his head right quickly for everyone's sake.

I want to do something really nice for my coworker, like organizing some kind of baby shower -- but I'm not sure about the etiquette for office baby showers and if anyone would think it was weird to have an adoption baby shower for a guy.
