I think it is time to retreat to the world of books and drink
Oh yeah, that's a keeper.
Starting to get into Thanksgiving mode. Got a kind of funny email this am from this years' hosts:
Any changes in plans for anyone? Please send finals. I have your originals out in Bellport. Remember that the house has plenty of shampoos, conditioners, and hairdryers, toilet paper. We will be in Bellport over the weekend to set up booby traps and plant poison arrows. Will try to remember to order turkey.
I think my brother was the only one who
did
call on my birthday. (Which is sometimes kind of awkward, because he makes his non-english speaking fiancee make the call. She does beautifully through the parts she was able to rehearse, but it kind of falls apart after that.)
Though my sister and I were on email all day, so she gets a pass.
Wait, does that then count as your brother calling? If it's his fiancee that's actually talking?
And thanks everyone!
Happy Birthday, sumi!
My sisters have always managed to remember my birthday. Of course, it falls the day after one sister's birthday, and the day after the other sister's husband's birthday, so they'd really have to not be with themselves to forget.
ION, gronk. Late book club meeting last night, early spin class this morning.
My twin sister better NEVER forget my birthday. Or she's toast.
Thanks everyone (I didn't mean you guys -- it's the irl friends who aren't remembering that got me down.)
Oh well, it's a sad thing when the best part of your birthday was your doctor's appt and cake at the office.
