"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I hate saying goodbye to clothes, and I know my size and weight wavers. So they stay, making me sad with their inaccessibility.

Welcome to my world! While I was in SF, I bought a pair of jeans, a size up, the exact syle and fit from the Gap. I have two pairs of these already in a size smaller that fit fine. And the new ones? NSM with the fitting.

I also have a dress to send to msbelle. And a skirt that might work on you.

I'm also hesitant to tailor any of the skirts I have down now that I seem to be blossoming again in terms of weight. Oh size 4. I will miss you so.

Art Crawl!!!

Hmmmm, Bones is 2 hours this week -- meaning that the last hour conflicts with the first hours of the 2 hour premieres of Daybreak AND Medium. Why must tv viewing be so complicated?

You know what's annoying? Being a physics major 10 years out and realizing how much you've forgotten. A friend asked me her son's bonus question. My first reaction was der. Except then I started thinking and all the margins of knowlege I have made me question the der and now I just feel stupid and like my brain is leaking out my ears. Depressing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Anybody else watching The OC? Dr. Roberts is going to Seattle Grace? Seriously?

Our wings are not tired.

I was bitching about the early sunset earlier, but apparently I have forgotten Winter up north. My sunset today was 5:31pm, NYC was 4:39pm. I'm thinking Rio might be a good plan. Their sunset was 7:14pm.

I could live here in the summer and Rio in the winter. It could work.

I swear, I need a gig that requires I spend the winter months closer to the equator. I'm a seriously unhappy camper for the next 5 months. People think I might be kidding about not moving any further north. I'm not.

hip deep in pie

LW's House: I was talking to a friend today who had a chronic pain condition and takes a lot of narcotics for it. She didn't buy House being arrested for possessing only 600 pills. She says at 8 pills a day, that's less than 3 months worth, which is usually what she get per script. She thought him being arrested for 1800 was more plausible. But accuracy and science isn't really the reason to we watch it, I guess.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Police dress up as Batman and Robin to catch drugs suspect

Two policemen dressed as Batman and Robin captured a suspected drugs offender - in a bizarre sting operation.

The Dynamic Duo - Sgt Tony Smith and PC Mike Holman - pulled on the superhero outfits in a bid to unsettle the suspected baddies.

They pretended to be drunks looking for a fancy dress party and knocked on the door of the suspect's home.

Those inside refused to answer the door to the loud, comically dressed visitors - which was what the officers wanted.

Batman and Robin then went around the back of the property in Weymouth, Dorset, while seven uniformed officers went to the front door.

Those inside the house were PLEASED to see the policemen and complained to them about the fancy dress drunks. They then invited the officers in.

However, one of the men inside the house ran out of the back door on seeing the policeman - to where the superheroes were waiting for him.

Batman - Sgt Smith - gave chase, jumped over a fence and BIFF, POW, THWACK, arrested him.

PC Kevin Eames, said: "The people opened the door immediately and said that they had been alarmed by some drunken people in fancy dress in their garden.

"So the ruse was successful and we were let in."

...

"The Batman costume was quite comfortable and not too restricting. I still managed to jump over the fence.

"But it was difficult finding somewhere to put my CS spray. There was nowhere for the handcuffs, but then Batman does not need handcuffs."

PC Eames said: "The bad thing about the operation is that we had to endure hours of terrible puns from PC Holman."
