Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Have you guys seen this?
Hilarious!

I need to send it to my dad now. Frankly, I was getting a little tired of his "you can't support the troops and not support the war" forwards. Maybe this will learn him.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I love Sascha Baron Cohen, and can't wait to see the movie. So there.

Oh, Jackass. Whenever I see the show, which isn't often and always someone else's idea, I usually end up thinking, "I hope the things that you do to your testicles on a routine basis ensure that none of you will ever breed."

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I mean, at least Punk'd has Ashton. (What? He's WAY prettier than Cohen.)

Oh, this hurts.

SB-C is a genius performer. Jackass has its charms, but it's not exactly social commentary. They might both be watch from the hall, but that's about all they have in common.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Oh, this hurts.

Okay, fair point. It's the Borat moustache that drains him of all attractiveness.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Jackass has its charms, but it's not exactly social commentary

I disagree. I think the major difference is that SB-C is self-aware. But they're both about laughing at people getting hit in the nads by a football.

FWIW, I also can't stand it when Stewart and Colbert pull the same stunts on their shows.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

And you'd do it sober in broad daylight!

you've never seen me hit a total stranger, ijs. my desire to and discussions about how I should, to the contrary.

I don't see it as much like jackass as like a Jaime Kennedy Experience or Candid Camera. Punked takes one person into a situation where everyone else is in on the joke. Cohen puts the one person who is in on the joke in amongst people who are not.

I have an embarrassment/humiliation squick.

I have an embarrassment/humiliation squick.

I do, too, which is why I have a hard time watching Ugly Betty, despite how cute it is.

Art Crawl!!!

Me too -- so no Borat or Ugly Betty (or The Office) for me.
