"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Please to suggest things it would mix with besides sour mix.

Tequila and lime juice.

I'll be having vodka and grapefruit juice tonight, I expect.

Bottle glass of champagne...sometime in June.

Junebabies rock!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Charges are about to be brought against Rumsfeld, Gonzales and Tenet - in Germany. [link]

Charges were sought against Rumsfeld by German officials back in '04, but were dropped....

"The utter and complete failure of U.S. authorities to take any action to investigate high-level involvement in the torture program could not be clearer," says Michael Ratner, president of the Center for Constitutional Rights, a U.S.-based non-profit helping to bring the legal action in Germany. He also notes that the Military Commissions Act, a law passed by Congress earlier this year, effectively blocks prosecution in the U.S. of those involved in detention and interrogation abuses of foreigners held abroad in American custody going to back to Sept. 11, 2001. As a result, Ratner contends, the legal arguments underlying the German prosecutor's previous inaction no longer hold up.

There's some sort of irony here... somewhere....

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

What are good mixers for Malibu rum?

Pineapple juice?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Definitely. Coke is also decent.

Pineapple juice sounds tasty. We tried it in Coke and it wasn't quite right (coconut and cola was a little funky in combination). Also tried it with grapefruit juice but we didn't care for that either. I love rum and I love coconut so I should be loving Malibu.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I like Malibu with either pineapple juice or Diet Coke.

Maybe that will be my next drink! More likely, some house white at dinner.
