I Google'd the age of sexual consent for the states. Louisiana don't fuck around when it comes to sex with a child.
LOUISIANA 17
Louisiana law allows prosecutors to seek the death penalty for people convicted of having consensual sex with a person under 12 years old. The Louisiana state Supreme Court declared the law constitutional in 1999 because of a 1977 U.S. Supreme Court ruling addressing the rape of an adult, not a child. The U.S. Supreme Court in 1977 banned the death penalty for raping adult women, but the justices did not say whether it could be applied to child rapists. The U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear the 1999 Louisiana case, allowing the death penalty law to stand.
And a few states make the age higher for homosexual sex..

I know the Girls Gone Wild guy has done some
unbelieveably
shady things with consent. You remember that article about him, where he assaulted the writer? That article goes on to chronicle a case of very dubious consent from a drunken college woman -- to intercourse.
And because the woman wakes up in the morning feeling dirty and guilty, it doesn't occur to her that, nor will she come forward and testify that, what she experienced is formally classified as rape.
Probably the legal loophole is "I couldn't tell they were drunk when they signed," and I'm sure they don't turn the cameras on during the signature, so as not to create incriminating evidence to the contrary. But -- yeah. I know a certain percentage of people would sign anyway, sober or not, because they like the idea of being on television; but I bet that doesn't describe everyone.
I'm sure that context has something to do with it.
I think my judgement may be colored by my extreme hatred for the guy that does GGW. After I read the (I think) LA Times article about him.... well, let's just say he doesn't want to meet me after dark. Of course, I'm not a sexy co-ed, so he wouldn't give me the time of day anyway.
All the better to sneak up on him....
eta: slimy GWW x-post!
I was going to mention that article, but I couldn't remember where I'd read it. And yes, the rape allegations are exactly why I am deeply, deeply skeptical about the level of "consent" in any of those videos, lawsuits or not.
We should totes do the pop culture thing!
Seriously.
We should have Buffista teams trying out all across the country!!!!!
I vote Hell Yeah on the pop culture thing!
Someone just sent me an e-mail request and misspelled a lawyer's last name as 'Horing'.
eta: slimy GWW x-post!
I'll x-post with you about slime anytime.
What's funny was in one of my posts I was going to say "call me nutty," but then I thought it would be like calling me Nutty, and that would just be confusing.
I summoned you for slime!
