To me this sounds like "There's nothing good on TV, and if you're foolish enough to try to go out somewhere, you'll need a chainsaw to cut through the crowds."We can use chainsaws? Rock!

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Which is why I don't go anywhere the day after Thanksgiving. Except maybe the bar.
This thanksgiving we'll be going to northern Iowa so we can have thanksgiving with my kids' great-great-grandmother. She's 110 so this could be the last chance. The only downside is that it's been about five years since I've had thanksgiving with my extended family, but I can't argue with the age factor. My grandfather is 98 though, so I want to do thanksgiving there next year.
Just bopping by to say -- Colbert had the Segway inventor on his show last night, and Stephen got to drive a super-spiffy wheelchair around the stage -- it runs on two wheels like a Segway, but converts to a four-wheel drive for going up stairs, and lowers down like a regular chair. I've never been more than lukewarm about the Segway becuase I'm mostly, "well, wouldn't it be just as easy to walk?" but DAMN if research for that invention has led to this invention, I take it all back, so to speak.

I'm not positive, but I think it was the other way around.
Yeah, I was thinking the wheelchair came first.
Jesse and bon bon and Jessica totally need to do this, as does Polgara.
OMG SERIOUSLY!!!!!
This may be the coolest thing I've ever seen on DealNews:
