So cool!
Why didn't I know til now that I could watch TDS on their website? Yes, it's a tiny screen and the video isn't great and the sound isn't always in sinc, but it's The Daily Show! Oh how I've missed you!
I think this is my favorite Pelosi pic yet.
Did you want me to pick up the space shuttle tub toys?Me? Oh yes, please! Let me know how much and I'll paypal it to you.
Back in mathland...
Aha. Ish. I looked again and the page I'd found was talking about the weight values as votes, so I withdraw that part. But don't understand what billytea is saying about the veto. This is what I read:
A player has veto power if the combined weight of all the other players does not meet the quota.
I still don't see how anyone has veto power in the scenario. Although the question states that someone does, which is why I am confused now, I guess. I think the quota is 57; that's the smallest possible winning number.
You realize you're going to have to report back and explain the answers when you've got them.
Is anyone watching The Street, on BBCA? It's a six-part miniseries, each episode taking place in a different house on the same street in Northern England, and the stories overlap somewhat. Jim Broadbent, Jane Horrock, Timothy Spall and assorted other terrific actors kicking Thespia's ass very well-written scripts. We are really liking it, but I don't seem to know another soul who is watching it.

Will do. She gives great solution sheets, so...
OH....
Wait, I may have gotten it. Finally.

I think you're assuming 50% of the votes cast is sufficient to pass a measure. It may take a higher amount, as with a Constitutional amendment.
