Ann, that's a ferret.

the sons were talking about how they had to let people know about their dad -- he listens to Sinatra and Motown

So do I (though not at the moment). But I doubt they'd vote for me for dogcatcher.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I thought "well, at least he has decent taste in music. still wouldn't vote for you, motherfucker"

Steele had some excellent advertising people, that's for sure. He had the usual boring ads as well, but that whole series of quirky ones seemed quite effective in what they were trying to do (introduce him to the voters as a warm fuzzy absent the issues.)

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Speaking of being informed, this is a fucking awesome idea for a course.

What is even happening?

I just find the lack of logic funny, is all. Not the hate.

Oh see now, I can find the hate funny, or at least the craxy. Maybe because I don't identify with either extreme. I don't know.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

But liberals are no less vile.

You don't see many liberals exhibiting the same homophobia many Republicans do. And I have yet to see a liberal blogger talking about how great it'd be if terrorists nuked some red-state city.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Naderites still trying to sell the "there's no difference between 'em" meme

Are there any of those left? (Besides Nader, I mean.)

Well, there's me.

Coding and Sleeping

Gud, how did that happen?

I'm surprised that district 2 went Democrat. Boyda (the winner) signs all just said "Had Enough?" and I guess people did.

I'm really surprise how well MO. went for me. I was expecting to be 1-4 in major votes and I went 4-1. I guess my area of town made me pessimistic.

Every year it looks really bad at first when the rural vote comes in and then the urban areas come in late and change everything. I thought McCaskill was too far behind after the early returns, but the urban areas went for her in a landslide. She'll be a good senator, I've heard her interviewed a few times back when she was prosecutor in my county and she was always very impressive.

Because books.

And I have yet to see a liberal blogger talking about how great it'd be if terrorists nuked some red-state city.

But I've seen liberals gleefully discussing ways to string up and torture a lot of the Republicans in office. Still hate, just a different focus.

It needs to be lunch now. Or I might run amok through the cubicles searching for edible booty.
