I have issues with most of the propositions on the California ballot. I automatically vote against all changes to the state constitution, and a lot of the bond measures, which left me with... not much to support. I honestly believe that government-by-referendum isn't either efficient or appropriate, since an even smaller percentage of the general public is going to understand the fine print than of the legislature. And the legislature is hired to develop, understand, and pass laws.

Voting in CA used to drive me nuts! The study guide with all the candidates, positions, rebuttles and re-rebuttles were ridiculous! You need Cliff Notes!
