I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

But how do I swing the mesh dress?

You live in L.A. - home of costumes. You want I should research where you could rent one?

Punishingly Intricate

That little passed-out frog is adorable. As is the smiley bunny.

The cutenest! By friend can't figure out how to costume her twins for H'ween, they'll be almost 8 months at that point. She'd thought about doing them up as siamese twins but they are way to squirmy now. Maybe Thing 1 and Thing 2 or Chim-Chim and Spreidel (that's what we called them in utero).

I had been feeling guilty that I was too disorganized in SF to buy garters, fishnets, and pumps for a Dr. Scott costume (since I have access to a wheelchair and could easily get a tweed suit for the top half of the outfit). But the lesbian video store that ran an outdoor showing of Rocky Horror with costume contest last year has since closed down. I may just go as the Burger King again.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

YES! DH and I both thought so, but couldn't quite put our fingers on why, though -- maybe just being a less popular site, it's not quite so pristine and tourist-ready? It felt much more like wandering around an old house than visiting a museum. We loved it. Plus, forest!
I think it is for all those reasons, especially the intimacy of it (for a ginormous palace). Plus, my mom is from the town where Diane de Poitiers had her chateau (FYI, seen at the beginning of Thunderball when Bond flies off with the jet pack) and I love the story of Henri II decorating Fontainebleau with interlocking Hs and Cs (for Catherine de Medicis) that actually formed Ds for Diane. Also, I hate the tour guides at Versailles with a passion.

BTW, I'm sure I suggested it for your last trip so I'm glad to see you finally listened!!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I was gonna say, there have to be half a dozen ladies here who know how to find out where to get this dress.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You know, I always forget about costume rentals. I'm straight up in improvise mode.

What is even happening?

That federal judge who ruled in the Dover Intelligent Design case? The Republican appointed by Bush?
Received death threats.
Is that the same poor judge who was ostracized by his church, or am I conflating ugly stories?
